Regina Mundi Leuven offers, for the academic year 2012-2013, 157 rooms. We have 5 different types of rooms:
- room of Type A: approx. 9,5m² at € 285,00 per month
- room of Type B: approx. 11m² at € 325,00 per month
- room of Type C: approx. 16m² at € 375,00 per month
- room of Type D: approx. 19m² at € 465,00 per month (with individual shower)
- room of Type E: approx. 12,5m² at € 345,00 per month (with individual shower)
Each room is equipped with a bed, mattress, desk, desk chair, wardrobe, floor standing or desk lamp. Obviously all rooms are double glazed and equipped with a washstand with hot and cold water.
Kotnet (Student Internet) is obviously included in the price. To surf the net just enter your password and user name and away you go!
General costs amount to € 525,00 per 10 month rental period and include, electricity, maintenance of communal areas, water etc. There is an additional community tax (€ 75,00).
We aim to create a homely atmosphere for all our residents and we select 'corridor' representatives at the start of each academic year. They are assigned considerable responsibilities. They act as spokesperson and provide the link between students and the management. Questions, comments and proposals can be submitted to hall representatives, who then pass them on to the management at hall representative meetings, which take place a couple of times a year. For instance, we have installed individual refrigerators in every room following a request from students submitted during one of these meetings.
Every hallway has adequate sanitary facilities that are kept spotlessly clean by our maintenance personnel. Our 'Household Rules and Regulations' are updated to current requirements every year. All students agree to abide by these rules at the start of the academic year.
We cooperate successfully with the Leuven Housing Department, which is located at 80, Naamsestraat, Leuven. We have adopted their standard contract, which can be viewed here.
